Allen Greenfield

(b. 1946) also known by his ecclesiastical name Tau Sir Hasirim, is an American occultist, UFOlogist, writer, editor, and Gnostic Bishop of Ecclesia Gnostica Universalis[1] who resides in Atlanta, Georgia.[1] His episcopal title "Tau" is sometimes abbreviated as "T" and prefixed to his legal name, and thus he may also be referred to as T Allen Greenfield.

Greenfield is both a student and an authority on unusual phenomena. A past (elected) member of the British Society for Psychical Research, and the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (from 1960), he has twice been the recipient of the "UFOlogist of the Year Award" of the National UFO Conference (1972 and 1992), which has run continuously on an annual basis now for 41 years. A Borderland Science Research Associate (BSRA), he has personally conducted on site UFO abduction investigations in Brooksville, FL, Pascagoula, MS and Brown Mountain, NC. His book Secret Cipher of the UFOnauts was reviewed by Robert Anton Wilson in Wilson's Everything is Under Control. This review discusses how Greeenfield builds on the principles established in Carl Jung's 1952 book, Flying Saucers: A Modern Myth of Things Seen in the Sky. He is also a past President of the Atlanta Science Fiction Organization (ASFOII),

Works by Greenfield on occult topics include:

  • Secret Cipher of the UFOnauts
  • The Story of the Hermetic Brotherhood of Light (one of the few sources of information on the Hermetic Brotherhood of Light)
  • The Compleat Rite of Memphis (the only comprehensive single volume history of an Egyptian Rite of Freemasonry)
  • Liber Thirty-One (the definitive, authorized annotated edition of this work by Charles Stansfeld Jones'
  • The True History of Wicca (This ongoing essay project was included in Richard Metzger's anthology from Disinformation's The Book of Lies in 2003.

BUDD HOPKINS

Over a decade ago Budd Hopkins founded the Intruders Foundation as a nonprofit organization with four basic goals:

  • To provide sympathetic help, understanding and personal investigation for those reporting UFO abduction experiences.

  • To carry out systematic research into the abduction phenomenon through a careful study of its patterns and resulting physical and psychological evidence.

  • To mount an extensive program of public education about the phenomenon.

  • To develop a cadre of trained professionals in various fields to carry out all of these projects.

Budd Hopkins first became interested in the UFO phenomenon when he and two others had a daylight UFO sighting near Truro, Massachusetts, in 1964. In 1975 he carried out his first major investigation, which involved a UFO landing and occupant incident in North Hudson Park, N.J. Shortly thereafter he began to concentrate on the investigation of the UFO abduction phenomenon which led to the eventual publication of his findings.

Taken together, his three books, Missing Time, 1981, Intruders, 1987, and Witnessed, 1996, are widely regarded by researchers and skeptics alike as comprising the most influential series of books yet published on the abduction phenomenon. These works and Hopkins' lectures and other presentations have been responsible for bringing a number of other noted researchers - David Jacobs, John Carpenter, Yvonne Smith and John Mack, among others - into this extraordinary area of specialization. From screen memories to the all-important alien reproductive focus and apparent production of hybrid beings, Hopkins' documented discoveries have become the basis of most later abduction investigations and research. IF, the Intruders Foundation, was founded in 1989 to further facilitate this important work. At present, with a dedicated team of fellow researchers and volunteers, IF is flourishing.

The IF Website is our latest public venue. It will present frequently updated, cutting-edge material on the subject of the UFO abduction phenomenon by Hopkins and many other writers.

We invite you to join us on an intellectual journey provided by carefully selected, thought-provoking articles, news items, photographs and drawings dealing with what we consider to be the most significant ongoing event in human history - the arrival on earth of a technologically advanced, non-human intelligence. We intend to make sure that your journey on the IF Website will be challenging and always stimulating. We look forward with pleasure to your company.

JIM SPARKS

I am the son of hard working, Italian-American parents. I was raised in Florida where my childhood memories were of a vast unknown filled with strange and interesting creatures, The Everglades. My life was that of a normal, average American. I grew up, went to school, got married and did all the normal things typical Americans do. For some thirty odd years the only unusual living things I had encountered were the wildlife of Florida's Everglades and maybe that of the local bar scene. In 1988 all that changed and my life was changed forever. The huge Everglades of my childhood was but a grain of sand on a Florida beach compared to the vastness of space and dimensions my abductors exposed me to.

Today I realize I am not alone. Many others have gone through similar experiences. Whether fortunate or unfortunate, I differ from most abuctees in that I have near total recall of my experiences with these beings from other regions and dimensions of space and time. My goal is to explain the agenda of these beings and the message they bring to humanity.

David M. Jacobs

David M. Jacobs, Ph.D. is Associate Professor of History at Temple University specializing in twentieth century American history and culture. Dr. Jacobs began researching the controversy over unidentified flying objects in America in the mid 1960's, and has amassed over 35 years of primary research data and analytical hypotheses on the subject.

In 1973 Dr. Jacobs completed his doctoral dissertation in field of intellectual history at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on the controversy over unidentified flying objects in America. This was only the second Ph.D. degree granted involving a UFO-related theme. A revised version of his dissertation was published by Indiana University Press as The UFO Controversy in America (1975). It remains the only sympathetic book on the subject of the existence UFOs to be published by an academic press. For over twenty years Dr. Jacobs has offered the only regular curriculum university course on UFOs: "UFOs and American Society."

Since 1973 Dr. Jacobs has continued to devote most of his professional and personal energies to researching the UFO phenomenon in general, and the abduction phenomenon in particular. Having conducted over 750 hypnotic regressions with over 125 abductees, Dr. Jacobs is one of the foremost UFO abduction researchers worldwide. As a result of his extensive primary research, he has developed the first scientific typology of the abduction experience.

Dr. Jacobs has written and delivered many articles, papers, and addresses on the subject of UFO abduction, and has been a consultant to the major UFO organizations. In 1992 Dr. Jacobs' second book, Secret Life: Firsthand Accounts of UFO Abductions, was published by Simon & Schuster. The book is the most complete exposition of the structure and meaning of the abduction phenomenon yet published. The Threat was published by Simon & Schuster in January, 1998. The book addresses important questions about abductions, and clarifies issues that have been the subject of much speculation for the past fifty years. The Threat presents the first evidence-driven hypothesis that provides a falsifiable solution to the UFO mystery.

In 2000, Dr. Jacobs published the edited book, UFOs and Abductions: Challenging the Borders of Knowledge with ten expert authors writing about the UFO and abduction phenomenon with the academic community as the target audience. The book is one of the few about abductions and UFOs ever published by an academic press.

In addition, Dr. Jacobs has lectured on the subject of UFO abduction at universities and colleges across the country. In 1989 he delivered the first paper to a scientific organization about the abduction phenomenon at Cornell University. In 1992 Dr. Jacobs participated in the first session on UFOs at the History of Science Society, Washington D.C. In conjunction with colleague Budd Hopkins, Dr. Jacobs conducted the widely discussed Roper Organization poll of the abduction phenomenon. The results of that highly influential survey were published in 1992 in the booklet, Unusual Personal Experiences.

Finally, Dr. Jacobs is a strong advocate of strict scientific and ethical research methodology. With colleagues Budd Hopkins and John Carpenter, he has given a series of workshops for members of the mental health community in the methods of abduction hypnosis, research, and therapy. In recent years he has concentrated on ascertaining the proper methodological techniques for the hypnosis and therapy of abductees. His revised "Suggestions for Hypnosis and Therapy of Abductees" was originally published in 1994. At present, Dr. Jacobs is currently working on a book about the methodology of hypnosis of abductees.
